Parametric Pavilion for Samsung Galaxy Studio

Computational Design, Fabrication Research and Full-Scale Prototype

This project explored the development of a full-scale pavilion generated through computational design methods and fabricated from a system of interlocking planar components.

The design was developed using a custom Grasshopper workflow that controlled geometry generation, panel distribution, structural logic and component organization. The pavilion was conceived as a temporary installation for Samsung Galaxy Studio and investigated how complex free-form spatial structures could be assembled from a limited set of flat sheet materials.

A key aspect of the project was the translation of digital geometry into a buildable system. The computational model generated not only the overall form, but also panel placement, assembly logic and fabrication data Required fields for physical construction.

The resulting structure was produced as a large-scale prototype and assembled manually from individually fabricated components. The pavilion created a semi-enclosed public space while demonstrating the relationship between algorithmic design, material constraints and physical fabrication.

Beyond its architectural expression, the project served as an exploration of digital-to-physical workflows, computational fabrication and mass-customized construction systems.
