This conceptual project explored the integration of lighting and architectural elements through computational design methods.
The idea was to transform a conventional structural column into a functional light source by wrapping it with a continuously twisting parametric surface. The geometry was generated through a custom algorithm that controlled the rotation, tapering and spatial deformation of the envelope while maintaining a clean structural logic.
The project investigated how simple geometric operations could create visually complex forms that combine architecture, lighting and interior design into a single element.
Beyond its formal expression, the concept explored the potential of digital fabrication and mass customization, where individual versions of the fixture could be generated automatically through adjustable design parameters.
Although developed as a conceptual study, the project reflects an early exploration of computational workflows that later became widely adopted within architectural lighting and product design.
